Tony Yi – Haddonfield, New Jersey
Bio: Tony is EVP Business Development and Platforms at Cadent. He is a longtime ad tech executive, having spent time at MyBuys, AddThis, Videology and OpenSlate.
Why: I have always been involved in mentorship programs both at the elementary/middle school level in US inner cities (starting in college in Baltimore at Project RAISE II) as well as mentoring professionals to get back on track in their careers. I feel like I can do more, so I am seeking new experiences with new organizations where I can help at the ground level – where I can see and feel the difference I am making versus solely donating capital.
I am also the proud father of four sons who constantly challenge me to better understand the world and appreciate their own opportunities/obligations of their blessings. I also want them to see more of the world and expand their contributions physically and mentally to children in communities beyond the US. And at the ground level with shovels, hammers and nails in hand not just donating.
I want to share these experiences with each one of my four sons on individual father/son trips in support of Team Dayā and these local communities. I think building schools is a wonderful opportunity to teach my kids about the world and provide a service with recurring returns by investing early into the education of children in these communities. I love the approach, mission and experience.
